Now that Katlyn's hair is growing in I can play with it and even get it to stick up a little! I love the bows and hats, but there is nothing cuter than a little Gerber Baby! Here she is........

Sometimes Mommy Talks Too Much!

One afternoon I was starting to cook dinner and had just finished feeding Katlyn. I left her in her highchair with some cereal and was in the kitchen just talking and talking to her. Every now and then she would let me know she was enjoying my conversation and then next thing you know, I look over and she is sound asleep! I don't know if I bored her or just talked her to sleep, but either way, we thought it was super cute!

Snow!

We got snow!! Well, it wasn't much, but it was enough to freeze the roads and close our schools, so we will take it! We took Katlyn out for just a few minutes in it...long enough to get some pictures and not get too cold!

All bundled up and ready to go! I use the bumbo seat to keep her still!!

New Camera!

I finally got a new camera and am LOVING it! I bought it from my friend, Cristina, and am so excited about it! She has taken many of the best pictures I have of Katlyn with this camera and now I can try to myself! So far, I think I am doing pretty good! I have a file of over 600 photos since I got the camera and love every single one! The camera catches so much more than my other, so don't laugh when you see Katlyn's dirty mouth or nose!! I can hardly see it until the picture is blown up!! Here's just a few from the 600something!

What's Katlyn Doing?

These next two pictures make me smile! All of her pictures make me smile, but these are funny because they are two of my many "What's she doing?" moments. Of course I never leave her alone, but if you look away for just a second you can find her doing a number of things! The first is one of Katlyn with her diaper bag dumped over and her eating her cereal from the snack trap! I guess she was hungry? The second is of her "reading" a little golden book. She really sounded like she was reading something! (Take note: the book is upside down!) Don't you know there is a secret code in the little golden book dictionary?? She was serious about it!

Great Aunt Rue Rue and Uncle Allen

Over Christmas my Aunt LaRue and Uncle Allen also came to visit! It had been a long time since they had seen Katlyn so it was a great visit! I finally got a few pictures of them with Katlyn!

 

Finally! Natalie!!

Finally! Natalie came in town for Christmas and I finally got to take Katlyn to meet her! I have missed Natto so much and everytime we are able to get together it is just like the last time...lots of catching up to do, but like we never missed a beat! That's when you know you have a great friend! This visit was extra special also because Natalie and Jonathan got engaged since I last saw her! Her ring is absolutely gorgeous with an incredible story of the engagement and the ring and a great guy, too!

What a Crew!

We spent New Year's Eve with our friends, Lauren and Andy, and their kiddos, Lily and Miles. We had a great time as always and even got a couple of cute shots of the kids together!

A Pretty Baby Outside!

Katlyn loves looking outside the windows or doors in our house and cars. Since it's been so cold out, that was about as close to outside as she was getting. While I was getting all her things together to leave she stood up at the back door and looked outside, then looked at me like she was really surprised. She could see her reflection this time and it was like a friend had come to play with her. She would look, get closer, then look at me, and then finally she decided that little baby she was seeing was so cute she needed to kiss her! We love her open mouth kisses and that is exactly what the window got, too! I think I was late because I just couldn't stop watching her! Of course I took a video, too! She is so much fun and I just love watching her see new things for the first time!

Spoiled!!!!

One night while visiting Granddad, Katlyn found out how much fun it is to pull out tissues from a box. SOOOOO, Granddad let her pull not just one or two, but the ENTIRE box of tissues out and dropped them on the floor! She really thought she was something! All I can say is SPOILED!

Great Grandmaw Bon

I love these photos! My Grandmaw Bon came down a few days before Christmas and stayed for about a week! It was so nice to get to see her nearly every day. Katlyn got very used to her being around and I was able to get some great photos of the two of them. I love my Grandmaw very much! She is an amazing woman and I love every second I get to spend with her, talking to her, laughing with her, learning from her...it's always time I cherish. We spent one day here at my house and got to talk about what it was like when she was a new Mom and stories I had never heard before. In her 80+ years she has had a wonderful life with many incredible stories to share. Everyone says I look just like her...my Mama looks just like her and I think Katlyn may be next! The chin gives it all away! Anyway, it was a great week having her here and getting to spend time with her without the rush of our typical trips to Tennessee!

This was so cute! I videoed them. Grandmaw was bouncing her and she was singing as loud as she could! So cute!

 

I took this idea from my creative cousin, Kristy. I think hands are so beautiful and love this of Katlyn's and Grandmaw's hands together.
