Two nights ago Matt and I were so tired from staying up with Katlyn we couldn't stop brainstorming how to get her to sleep a little more at night. I had been getting up during the week with her so Matt could try to get "some" sleep before working, which meant I was only getting a few hours of sleep a night. Friday and Saturday night we were both up with her the majority of the night moving around and trying different things to get her to sleep. We have been trying to keep her awake as much as possible during the day, but that isn't as easy as we thought it would be! Now that she is staying awake during the day a little more we thought she would be tired at night and sleep.........ha ha ha! Well, that wasn't the case and as soon as we would turn off lights and start the "bedtime" routine she would open those little eyes as wide as she could and start looking around. We would get her to sleep or almost asleep and as soon as we would put her down she would start moving around and wake up and cry. We drove her around Sunday night and she slept until we took her out of her carseat. So Monday night we decided to put her in the carseat and as funny as it sounds Matt walked her around the house (no, he didn't have to make car sounds or beep or anything!) and she fell asleep in minutes! We put her in our room by her beautiful bassinet and she slept from about 11:30 until 5:45 the next morning! I kept waking to check on her and she would startle a little and then keep on sleeping. Matt and I both enjoyed the sleep and we think Katlyn felt much better after a good nights sleep, too!
Isn't this funny! A beautiful bassinet (it was Meredith's, then mine) and she wants to sleep in a carseat?!?!
A Happy Baby Katlyn after a good night of SLEEP!!!

Yeah, I understand that one. I just had to push the little baby I take care of in the stroller in the dining room to get her to fall asleep because it was raining outside and we couldn't go for a really walk, which is THE ONLY time she goes to sleep.
