It's hard to believe this time last year I was just finding out we were having a baby girl and one of my best friends, Tasha, was waiting on her baby Branson to arrive! We got to go to Branson's 1st birthday party last Saturday and celebrate a wonderful year! The party was great and his Mama and Nana did a great job planning and making everything perfect for him! There's only one 1st birthday, so Happy Birthday, Branson! We love you!
He REALLY liked his cake!! I love this picture!

A Priceless Weekend!
Last weekend we were invited by our good friends, the Toering's, to spend the weekend with them in the mountains. They knew someone who had this "place" in Highlands, NC who had invited them to enjoy the "place" for a weekend. Lauren and I were so excited! We were thinking beanie weinies and burgers, but when we found out what this "place" was really like, we quickly came to the conclusion we should plan for lobster and caviar instead! The "place" is an unbelievable gorgeous 1.8 MILLION dollar home in the mountains. The owner built AND furnished the home and is in the process of selling it, but fortunately for us (and not so much for him!) we got to enjoy the "high" life for a weekend! It was beautiful and we had a great time! The owner had an itemized listing of all the furnishings and we couldn't stop looking up prices for everything in the house. Enough about the house, although it was absolutely stunning, which you will see below, it was a great time with some great friends! We spent Friday night by the fire on the screened in porch. Saturday we enjoyed a lazy morning, breakfast by Andy, lunch by Matt, and took a trip into town for a little shopping. We ate some of Andy's great chili and enjoyed the fire later that evening and even had some smores, too! Sunday morning we enjoyed more relaxation until Katlyn rolled over on her arm and ended up with nursemaid's elbow again! We ended up leaving a little earlier than planned to take her to the Children's hospital in Atlanta to have it fixed again, but even with all that, it was still a wonderful weekend! Thanks, Toering's! We hope we'll get to do it again sometime!!!
THE Place!
Katlyn and her Daddy enjoying an evening by the fire!
The sitting area on "our floor"! Beautiful!
Lily and Katlyn. Katlyn was really into watching Lily!

Matt soaking it all in!
Me, Katlyn, and Lily. It's so much fun to think about how they will be great friends one day!
The furnishings: that's right...the entire house, just $203,300something...SERIOUSLY!!
Here's Katlyn playing in the main room. It was huge. You can see how tiny she looks! We kept her on a blanket...just in case!
