Sippy Cups and Bows!

We have started giving Katlyn a little milk in her sippy cup and she seems to enjoy it. I think she does more knawing(sp?) on it than drinking, though! She looks so grown up with it, too. She also got some new bows. Mom, Mrs. Cheryl, Katlyn and I went to Macon to the Christmas Made In the South show and couldn't resist. Now Lu-Lu is busy making new ones for her, too.

What's this thing for??? Teething or drinking??

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

Like I said, I am way behind on blogging, but it has been a busy month! November 2nd was Matt's Birthday and we enjoyed celebrating the entire day! He took off from work and spent the day with Katlyn. They went shopping and somehow she ended up with two new toys by the time I got home!?!....on HIS birthday! Sweet! He had a great birthday, got lots of fun stuff, and got to spend the day with his favorite little girl! We decided next year we will both take off on our birthdays together and spend the day at home! Here are some photos from the big day!

I made Matt a peanut butter and chocolate cake...don't laugh!

He was looking at it because I was scared it would fall before everyone was there to eat it!

Matt got a UGA snuggie from his Dad so here are the GA fans all "snuggied" up!

Day Trippin'!

Oops! I know it's been a few weeks since I blogged and I am going to get back to it, but we have really enjoyed the month of November! We started it out with a spur of the moment day trip to Dahlonega. We left early that morning and enjoyed the drive up 400 with all the leaves changing and best of all...no traffic! Katlyn enjoyed the ride, too! We shopped a little first and bought Katlyn some Little Golden books (Mommy's latest addiction for her...I like the old ones, especially the ones illustrated by Eloise Wilkin!) and of course, a little fudge for us! We bought Katlyn's books in a rare book store from a really sweet old lady and her daughter. While I was going through the Little Golden books, I would say, "No, No, No," and put them in another stack and Katlyn just giggled and giggled. When we got to the counter the lady said Katlyn had made her day and earned her Mommy 10% off! I hope she keeps it up for Christmas shopping! I carried her in the Baby Bjorn carrier, which I absolutely love and she enjoys, too. Matt saw a great spot to take pictures of the mountains and the leaves, so we stopped on our way home. It was beautiful and we had a lot of fun. Day trips are so much fun especially when you are with your favorite people....and you don't forget anything!!!

Mommy and Katlyn at the little park in Dahlonega. We got to swing for a little while.

Happy Halloween, Sweet Lil' Sock Monkey!

This Halloween was so much fun with Katlyn! She was a Sock Monkey and the cutest one we have ever seen! Lu-Lu and I added a few girly touches to the costume for Katlyn and it turned out just perfect for her! Matt, Katlyn, and I started the day sleeping in a little! Katlyn took a good morning nap in her swing while waiting for Aunt Debbie to come and visit. She brought Katlyn two Halloween books and a really cute pumkin named "Plumpkin" that she absolutely loves to play with. Katlyn tried on her costume and showed off a little for Aunt Debbie before we got ready to trick-or-treat a little later. Our first stop was at Granddad's! Katlyn was excited to see her Aunt Missy there, too! Katlyn and Granddad compared their sock monkey costumes and we think Granddad makes a pretty cute sock monkey, too! Our last stop for Katlyn's first Halloween night was to Pop and Lu-Lu's house. Pop was hunting, of course, so Lu-Lu got Katlyn all to herself for a while. We took tons of pictures, as you will see, and had a really fun day! Happy Halloween, everyone!
