All Better Now!!
Today was Katlyn's surgery to fix her blocked tear ducts. It went really well, but was a very long day! I must say we are very blessed to have a healthy baby girl and we pray this will be the only thing we have to deal with like this and have gained even more respect for our friends and family members who have had to go through much more than we can even imagine!! Matt and I woke up at 4 and got Katlyn out of bed right before leaving at 4:30. We had to be there by 6 and the surgery was to start at 7:40. Everyone at Children's Healthcare took really good care of us, yes, us, because they were really sweet making sure Matt and I were ok as well as our little pumpkin! Matt went back to the operating room with Katlyn and waited until they had put her to sleep. I couldn't have done it, but was so glad Matt was willing to, although he said he would rather not go through that ever again! She was back with us in about 10 minutes and already waking up when they wheeled her in to us. She woke up like a BEAR!! She cried and screamed while they finished checking her out and for about an hour after that, but then fell asleep in the car on the way home! Dr. Greenberg said the procedure is 90% sure to fix the blocked ducts and we will know in 3-4 weeks. He said they were more blocked than he had thought this morning. There are no restrictions so we are back to life with our sweet little munchkin and thanking God everything went well for the three of us! Everyone is so right, though....it must be harder on Mommy and Daddy than on the little one!! Thanks for all the prayers, texts, emails, and calls!
Daddy and Katlyn waiting.
Mommy and Katlyn. She got to pick out a toy before her surgery...okay, I picked it out, but at least I picked it out for her...I saw a Dad get a slinky for his little baby and get it out and start playing with it himself!!
A little afternoon nap after a very long day!
Still sleepy and taking a rest on Daddy! See those bright eyes, though!

7 Sweet Months!
So, Katlyn is now 7 months old and we just can't believe it! She is now sitting up all by herself, rolling all over the house, blowing raspberries, and entertaining herself a lot more! She is working on getting some teeth and keeping anything and everything she can in her mouth! We continue to thank God for Katlyn and for all the months we have ahead of us! God has blessed us so much with this little angel and we can't thank Him enough! Here are Lil' Miss Katlyn's 7 month pictures! Enjoy!

Daddy Days!
Katlyn sure does love her Daddy and Friday she got to spend the whole day with him! She got her flu shot on Friday, so Matt took the day off to take her. She did great and Daddy did great, too! I was impressed to see all he had gotten done in the house when I got home that afternoon, but....he did say she had kept him REALLY busy!! I know they had tons of fun and here are some picture of some good ol' Daddy time!

My Buddy, Branson!
We met up with my friend, Tasha, and her little boy, Branson, the other weekend for our annual trip (well, we didn't go last year since Branson was pretty close to making his grand appearance!) to get some apples and visit the mountains where we met in college. It was really cold, so we didn't get to do quite as much as we had planned, but had a wonderful time anyways. Branson and Katlyn enjoyed having their pictures made in front of this cute little fall set up....funny thing is, we didn't realize they weren't even real pumpkins til it was all said and done! It's always fun to get together with them and we are looking forward to Branson's 1st Birthday coming up very soon! Here are just a couple of the cute photos we made!
Perfect shot of 2 Lil' Pumpkins of ours!

Just a Swingin'!
Last Saturday Katlyn enjoyed an early morning swing with her Daddy! She really enjoys being outside now and the swing is one of her favorite spots. I had to take a few pictures and know there will be many more to come!
Sweet Katlyn and her Daddy!
I love her face in this one!

Cotton Pickin' Fair
Every October and May Mom and I go to the Cotton Pickin' Fair in Gay, Georgia. This year Katlyn got to join us and we had a great time! Katlyn is quite the little shopper and likes to be outside, too, so it was a perfect day for her! Now Mom and I will have a new little one to take each year and buy things for....shopping for a little girl is WAY too much fun!
Here we are keeping warm!

Our Little Pumpkin! We bought the headband at the fair.
Check out the cheeks on that lil' Punkin!
