We went to Tennessee to meet the newest addition to our family, Braden Hunter Bird! He is a beautiful baby boy and about as big as Katlyn is already! It is always nice to spend time with family and having these babies around just makes it even sweeter!

Meeting the other Katelyn!
While we were visiting in Tennessee, our Katlyn finally got a chance to meet Big Katelyn and her family. Meredith and Andrea, Katelyn's Mommy, have been friends for many years and their family has become our family! It was fun to get to see Katelyn and Timmy with Baby Katlyn and we enjoyed getting to visit Thoan and Andrea, too!

She DOES cry!
Here is the answer to everyone's question of "Does she ever cry?"..............
When Katlyn gets sleepy, hungry, wants to be held, wants to do something else, etc. and we don't take care of it fast enough...she most definitely lets us know! I took some pictures just to prove it! She's still PERFECT though!
Time for bed and ready to be held!
"What are you taking pictures for!?!?"
Bless her heart!

Mommy's Birthday!
September 23rd we celebrated my 31st Birthday! It was an awesome day! My students brought me flowers and gifts, I had a great dinner, and enjoyed my cookie cake with my Matt, Katlyn, my Mama, Dad, Mr. Jackson, and Missy. I got some of the most thoughtful gifts this year! Matt and Katlyn gave me a necklace with Katlyn's picture in it. My parents gave me a necklace with a little handprint and Katlyn's birthstone on the charm. Mr. Jackson gave me a crystal cube with a picture of Katlyn and I etched inside it. It's so neat and I love that I will always remember these gifts were given on my first birthday as a Mommy! I know I say it every time I write about a holiday with gifts, but having Katlyn is truly the best gift I could ever have....and having that great husband of mine, too!!

Mommy and the sweetest girl on earth!
Just another afternoon nap with Daddy!
Tummy time is a much happier experience now that she can turn over!
Sleeping Beauty.....there is NOTHING like holding her in my arms and I love her sweet, chubby, super soft hands!

6 Months!
I'm a little behind on my picture updates, but here is Katlyn's photo from September 24th. She is getting so big! We took her for her 6 month check up and she was great! She weighs almost 15 pounds. Dr. Goza says she's going to be a little girl. They sent us to a pediatric optomologist to take a look at her blocked tear ducts and she will be having them fixed on October 29th. We aren't looking forward to it, but know she will be glad to not have us messing with her eyes trying to keep them clean every morning and night! Her new tricks for 6 months are sitting up using her hands to prop up and rolling over! It's time for us to start baby proofing the house before she decides to crawl on us! We continue to know how blessed we are with this precious girl and thank God for her everyday!
