I Hear the Ice Cream Man!

Katlyn can hear the ice cream truck from a mile away! We decided it was warm enough to enjoy a treat when he came by the other day. Of course, Katlyn chose Dora. I can't believe these ice creams are $2.75 and more! Rediculous! She enjoyed it, though, and we got some cute pics for memories!

Walking Like Grandad!

The other night Grandad and Aunt Missy came to visit. As they were leaving, Katlyn decided to walk just like her Grandad! We had to take pictures, of course!

This is Katlyn all dressed up! She likes to pick out a hat sometimes and a special pair of shoes. This day she still had on her pj's and decided on her heels and beach hat! Funny girl...I guess she's going to be a free spirit!

Bubbles!

Spring has come and that means it's time for BUBBLES! Katlyn LOVES to play bubbles and try to blow bubbles on her own. She also likes to "pour" bubbles from one container to another, which is a great fine motor skill (sometimes the pre-k teacher in me just has to come out), but such a mess! She would spend all day outside with bubbles if she could!

Snow/Ice Week!

Matt and I ended up getting a whole week off after a snow that turned into more of an ice issue! We were super happy about the extra time we got to spend time with our girl! We spent some time outside with our homemade sled made out of a plastic container and a metal pan that goes under the cars. We slid down the drive way and a little in the street. Maybe next year we will come up with something a little fancier...but, afterall, we do live in Senoia!

Tea Parties with Daddy

Katlyn has started enjoying tea parties and picnics. This is her and Daddy having a tea party. It's cute to watch her pass out plates and cups. She likes to pour everyone's drink, too! Thanks, Aunt Debbie, for the tea set!

 

Santa Visit 2010

We found Santa again this year and it was not as easy as last year to get a good picture of Katlyn and the big guy!!! We stood in line for about 30 minutes and finally made it up to see him! Katlyn was excited until he sat down and it was her turn....then she climbed me like a monkey! We finally ended up with what we think is a "cute picture" of her with her bottom lip out and a look on her face like, "Why would you make me sit on this fat guys lap!". I guess these kind of shots are cute, too, but I sure do hope next year is better and not so painful for her....and us!!

What Happens When Mama's Sick!

Over Christmas break I ended up with a stomach bug. Thank God it only lasted a few days, but it was BAD! It was bad enough for me to fall asleep on the couch, which NEVER happens anymore! Matt was in charge and of course the capturer of this lovely moment! Katlyn had taken out all the dirty clothes and spread them all over the living room and had unfolded all the clean clothes and spread them out, too. She apparently offered me a magazine to read, as well. And this is what happens when Mama is sick! Thanks, Matt! I love you, too!

 

Christmas 2010

Once again, I am VERY late on posting pictures, but it's better late than never! Christmas was wonderful, as usual! This year was even more fun because Katlyn really enjoyed getting to open and play with her gifts! She stayed busy all day with us and only took one nap on Christmas day! Christmas Eve we spent some time at Grandad's and then at Lu-Lu and Pop's, too! Katlyn got to enjoy Grandmaw Bon reading her "Twas the Night Before Christmas". She must have been a really good girl because she got lots of great gifts! Once again, we were busy, busy all day long, but it just wouldn't be the same if we didn't enjoy all our family and get to spend time with everyone! We started Christmas morning at our house! Katlyn got to see all the gifts Santa had left while she was sleeping. Lu-Lu, Pop, Grandmaw Bon, Aunt LaRue, and Uncle Allen all stopped by to see what Katlyn had opened before we left for our next stop...Grandad's! At Grandad's, Katlyn got even more gifts and had a blast playing with Grandad, Uncle Eric, and Aunt Missy! Grandad even had special snacks out just for Katlyn! After Christmas at Grandad's we headed off to Aunt Debbie's, but had to take a little drive first to allow Katlyn time to get a quick nap before another Christmas! She slept and we drove, then went to Aunt Debbie and Uncle Alvin's house. Christmas at their house is always a blast, too! It's wonderful to have everyone together all at once! Katlyn loved her gifts from everyone and enjoyed getting spoiled just a little more! It started snowing while we were at Aunt Debbie's, too, so we all enjoyed the beautiful Christmas snow! It rarely snows on Christmas day, so this was nice! Our last stop for Christmas day was to Lu-Lu and Pop's house! Aunt Seester and Uncle Chris arrived a little before we did, so it was perfect timing! We enjoyed opening gifts and eachother's company until we were all too tired! Katlyn was asleep before we were out of their neighborhood! What a wonderful Christmas it was! We are so blessed to have our family together and the time to enjoy each other. It was a VERY Merry Christmas!
