Our Jack-O-Lantern

Here is our lovely jack-o-lantern! Katlyn helped a little bit, but enjoyed playing on the deck more!

Ewwww, yuck!

Toilet Paper

Busted! It doesn't take Katlyn long to get into things lately! The other morning, Matt and I were getting ready for church and the next thing we know....Katlyn has the toilet paper stretched out all over the bathroom. I've always thought this was cute for other kids to do, but I do hope this was a first and last for Katlyn!

What??

"Who did this??"

Look at this mess!

The Flintstones!

Katlyn was Pebbles from the Flintstones this year! I had bought an animal print dress for her and sewed a little bone for her hair. My friend Lauren's kiddos, Lily and Miles, who you've seen on here many times, were Bamm-Bamm and Betty! We decided to take the kids out for some pictures the weekend before Halloween. This is what we got!

Pumpkins and Apples!

Every year, Mom and I get together with my friend, Tasha, and her Mom and go to the North Georgia mountains for some fall fun! Each year we go to buy tons of apples and now that we have two little ones to take, too, we find ourselves having an even better time than before! Katlyn and Branson have a great time together and time with Tasha and her Mama is priceless! This year we hit our usual apple places and then headed out to a corn maze! A corn maze with two little ones and a real map to follow was probably not our best idea, but it was actually a lot of fun! We learned that it takes two adults for the kids and one adult to keep their finger on the map and count turns! Definitely a memory that will never be forgotten! I still laugh when I think about it!

Katlyn at Panarama Apples! I used to stop and get a fried apple pie here on my way to Young Harris! We like to say Katlyn is crying because that is a Coke sign and not Pepsi, which is Lu-Lu and Pop's favorite!

Mmmmmm....J-E-L-L-O!

I have been wanting to make some jello with Katlyn so the other night we just made time and did it! She loved stirring and was all about some SPLASHING! It was a mess, but so much fun! The next day we tried it out and she really liked it. She was fun to watch as she fumbled around with the slippery gel and managed to get some in her mouth here and there! It was just too cute! My counters aren't stained and we had a good time, so I think we will try it again sometime soon....she picked out grape this time!

Ha Ha! Matt got a great action shot here....see the splashes!!!

Strep and Stuff

One afternoon Katlyn was running a fever of 103.1 and scared us pretty bad! We gave her some Tylenol to get it to come down and then took her to the doctor. First she checked her ears and said they looked good and then checked her throat and as soon as I saw the light shine in the back of her throat......I knew! It was horrible, but she really hadn't acted like she felt bad or that it hurt her. The doctor did a strep test and sure enough, it was STREP! Uggghh!! So, they gave her a shot of Penicillin and we were on our way home. She did great the first two days, but then broke out with hives on her thighs...then all over! We headed back to the doctor and they gave her prednisone and said, "No More Penicillin for Katlyn!". During all that we did have some fun, though. Aunt Seester came down and she, Lu-Lu and I enjoyed our annual trip to the Cotton Pickin' fair. Hopefully, next year Katlyn will get to enjoy the fair with us, because we really missed having her there!

Does she look like she has strep to you???
