Watermelon, watermelon, watermelon, yum!

Katlyn LOVED the watermelon Pop grew this year! We all had a blast watching her eat as much as she could, too! I couldn't believe how much she actually ate and loved the juice dripping down her belly! She wasn't much for sharing with anyone but her Pop, but we managed to all get a taste and it was really good! You can't beat the sweetest watermelon right out of Pop's garden! Yum-O!

This is good stuff!

Corn on the Cob!

Every year my Daddy, Pop, grows an incredible garden! We enjoy eating the green beans, tomatoes, okra, peppers, cucumbers, corn, and even watermelon! This year Katlyn was able to enjoy all the yummy veggies with us and boy, did she ever! She was happy with a plate of veggies and a cup of milk! This was her very first piece of corn on the cob! Mama had been looking forward to seeing what she would do with it and we all enjoyed watching her eat as much as she could! It was so cute watching her eat her 1st corn on the cob....one day she'll have to learn about the butter!!!

She wasn't so sure at first...

I think she likes it!

She really likes it!

4th of July Fireworks!

This was our second year we went to the school Matt works at to watch the fireworks in Peachtree City. It's a great spot and seems not many know about the great spots available and the view! Katlyn loved the fireworks again this year and it makes it even more fun for us!

Library Time

This summer Katlyn and I went to Baby time at the Senoia library as many Mondays as possible! It's a 30 minute story time with a couple of short story books, fingerplays, and songs. She was usually one of the youngest, but did great every week...of course there really aren't any expectations! She and I really enjoyed the time together and doing something different! We met lots of other Mommies and kiddos and had a great time! I'm going to miss it now that I have to go back to work, but know she will enjoy it even more next summer!

Daddy's Building

This summer Matt decided to build a shed for us in our backyard. He stays busy doing something all the time around here! Katlyn new exactly where to find her Daddy when she would wake up the mornings! He did a great job and we are already putting it to good use! Victor and Betsy thought it was going to be their new house!

This was June 4th...

Katlyn started really liking hats a couple of months ago and loves to put them on and wear around the house or out and about. A few weeks ago while she and I were out shopping some sales she spotted this purple one and just HAD to have it! I thought she looked super cute in it and it was on sale....so.....we bought it!

Just being cute!

Pop and Lu-Lu's

We have enjoyed being so close to Pop and Lu-Lu's and enjoy having dinner with them here and there. Katlyn gets spoiled by all her grandparents...that is for sure!

Here she is at Pop and Lu-Lu's having her 1st popsicle, which she loved!

She makes a face we call "smoosh-face" sometimes and Mom finally caught it on film! Sometimes she will do it when we ask her and other times it just fits her mood!

Katlyn likes to feed everyone else when she gets full! "Here you go, Pop!"

Happy 4th of July! God bless America!

Summertime...and the livin's easy!

We have had such a great summer! I am so behind on blogging because there's just too much to do! I'm going to try to catch up in the next few days so once school starts back and Matt and I are working I will just have to keep up with it as things happen! We will see what happens! These photos make me smile! One is Katlyn "talking" on the phone while Matt is talking on his phone. She looked so proud of herself that she was doing what Daddy was doing. The next one makes me wonder why we every spend any money on toys for this child! Most of the time she would rather play with a box of tissues (thanks to Granddad), a box, the little cards out of magazines, or in this case....the empty milk jugs! Oh, well! Whatever makes her happy! The last photo is of Katlyn feeding herself with her spoon. She will do this here and there, but it really depends on how sticky the food is as to whether or not it makes it all the way to her mouth! What fun though! It's been an awesome summer and I am just not ready for it to end!

"...and so this guy walked in.."

Fun times with the milk jugs!
