I couldn't resist posting these next two pictures! The first is of Katlyn in her 2 Skinnee J's shirt holding a pair of keys. She looks so grown up and ready to hit the road. One of my best friends and I took off to New York City when I was pregnant Katlyn to see this band and so I like to say she loves their music because it was her first concert. They sent her this shirt about a year later, which ended up being perfect timing because it fits perfectly. I guess in about 15 years I will have to keep my mouth shut when she is driving around listening to loud music and making this same sweet face?!?! The second one is of Katlyn standing in front of our neighbors beautiful tulips. I love this picture and Matt had a close up of her like this one put in a necklace for me for Mother's Day. Well, my girl is waking from her Sunday nap, so I better run, but I promise to post more pictures as soon as possible! Love you all!

 

 

Easter Sunday

We had a great Easter! Katlyn woke up to find the Easter Bunny had left her a basket full of goodies, we went to church and lunch, came home for a Sunday afternoon nap, then had Pop, Lu-Lu, and Grandad over for Easter dinner (with help from Lu-Lu, of course) and then a little Easter egg hunt afterwards! It was a fun day with our wonderful family and another day spent thanking God for our blessings, fogiveness, and His Son who died for us!

Easter Morning!

Katlyn had her second visit from the Easter Bunny and loved everything he left her! She got bunny ears, bubbles, a chocolate bunny, a book, marshmallow bunnies, and more! We let her have chocolate for the first time and it looks like she is definitely a fan! She couldn't get enough! We are in big trouble now!!!

Katlyn's New Book Shelves

One night while checking out a website I frequent for homemade things to make, I came across a picture of some bookshelves for kids rooms. I showed Matt and of course within a few days Katlyn had her very own bookshelves made by her Daddy especially for her! They are perfect and I love how they look! He painted them to match the opposite walls in her room and put one below the window for her to reach. She loves to pull all the books down and look through them again and again. The two on the wall have all of her books that were illustrated by Eloise Wilkin. We are so blessed to have our talented Matt/Daddy!

Aunt Debbie gave Katlyn this cute little balloon outfit and we have enjoyed dressing her up in it for her birthday and other birthday celebrations, too! I love this picture because she was really becoming more confident in taking a few steps on her own. She looks so proud and so cute with her little tu-tu! Thanks, Debbie!

 

Day 1 and Day 365!

March 24th, 2009 was the beginning of a new and wonderful world for us! Katlyn Dawn has brought more joy to our life than we could have ever imagined. She is everything we prayed for and we just can't thank God enough for blessing us with her. I don't think there are any words to explain how blessed we are! We love you, Katlyn Dawn!

March 24th, 2010- Katlyn's 1st Birthday!

For Katlyn's actual birthday, Matt and I took the day off and enjoyed the day with our Birthday girl! We had a great day! We took Katlyn for her 1 year photos, went shopping for a special birthday present, and later had Grandad, Lu-Lu, and Pop over to help us celebrate with some cake and bubbles! Katlyn did great for her photos...she even stood up for us the majority of the time. Daddy blew millions of bubbles to keep her interested and got tons of smiles! I was so excited with all the photos. It was so hard to pick out of all the ones they took. We went to a couple of stores to find the perfect birthday present and Katlyn ended up choosing a pink bouncey ball, some wooden balls that are all tied together, and a fridge farm. She wanted a big stuffed "woof woof" from the toy store, but we figured once we got that home she would think it was boring when it didn't do anything! Later that evening, Grandad, Lu-Lu, and Pop came over to celebrate Katlyn's 1st year with us! I made another cake for her to enjoy and she did...made a great big mess, too! What an amazing year it has been and celebrating Katlyn's birthday was so much fun!

Avery's Birthday!

Good Morning, Sam!!! I thought I posted these pictures from Avery's birthday party several weeks ago, but apparently they never went up, so Sammie......I am sooooooooooooo sorry!! About a month ago Katlyn, Mom, and I were invited to Avery's birthday party. It was such a great party and I was so excited to get to see two of my favorite girls, Avery and Sam! They both seemed like pros while riding the horses and it is always great to see two good friends after all these years. I was also glad my Katlyn got to meet two of the sweetest girls around! I hope you enjoy the pictures, Sam, and sorry they are just now going up- for sure!! ;o) Love you!
