Katlyn smiles so much now and gets "tickled" when we try to get her to smile for photos. She is probably thinking her Mommy and Daddy are nuts! She coos the sweetest little coos and we enjoy talking with her even more now that she responds in her own little voice. Our life is so wonderful!
These are in order of how they were taken. I love these! She looked so precious in her red dress and shoe socks. This was her outfit for the Memorial Day celebration in Senoia.

Katlyn's 1st Trip to Tennessee
Over the weekend we took a trip to Tennessee to celebrate my Grandmaw Bon's 80th Birthday! It was Katlyn's first long trip and first time spending the night away from home. She did great! She slept well and was happy all weekend. We stayed at Grandmaw Bon's house and got to spend lots of time with her and had visitors, too! Katlyn got to meet my cousins, Jeff and Leah, and their families for the first time. She also got to meet my Mamaw McCall, Aunt Alta, and Uncle Kenneth. We enjoyed Saturday night at Aunt Meredith and Uncle Chris' house and Mommy and Daddy even got to play a little Wii while Katlyn entertained everyone. I wish I could upload the video of Matt doing the balancing part...it was great! Sunday, the entire family went to lunch to celebrate Grandmaws birthday! We had a great time and were glad we were able to spend some time with my family for this special occasion. Katlyn enjoyed being held and we enjoyed getting to show her off!
Happy Birthday, Grandmaw Bon! We love you!!!

More Sweet Photos
Katlyn taking a little nap! These aren't as often as they used to be, but she still looks like a little Angel when she's sleeping!

Granddad's
These are a few of the photos from Mother's Day at Mr. Jackson's home. Katlyn has been smiling so much and even has a little laugh that we absolutely love! We took a really cute video of Katlyn smiling while her Granddad talked to her, but haven't figured out how to upload it. We will keep working on it!

My 1st Mother's Day!
My 1st Mother's Day was the best! I woke up to my little Angel and the best husband ever ready to celebrate this special day! Matt had Katlyn in her swing with my card and gifts in front of her. After opening Matt's sweet card from him I opened my gifts from Katlyn. I got a really precious card and it even had her very first Mother's Day hand print in it (can you believe Matt managed that all by himself?). She also gave me a Willow Tree angel Mommy and Baby and a Precious Moments Mommy and Baby. They are both so beautiful and I will always remember this day when I look at them. We took lots of photos, too! After spending some time loving on my little one and thinking about how wonderful it is to be a Mommy, we headed out to my parents house to celebrate Mother's Day with them, too. We enjoyed lunch with them and then Mom and I enjoyed playing with Katlyn and watching her sleep. We went by the cemetary for a little bit and then to visit Mr. Jackson and Katlyn enjoyed laughing with him (photos to come!). Matt took me to dinner at Long Horn (YUM!) and it was so good! Katlyn slept the entire time and we got stuffed! We came home and enjoyed the rest of the evening together. It really was a wonderful day and I am so blessed to have had my very 1st Mother's Day!

Ahhh, Sleep, Wonderful Sleep!
Two nights ago Matt and I were so tired from staying up with Katlyn we couldn't stop brainstorming how to get her to sleep a little more at night. I had been getting up during the week with her so Matt could try to get "some" sleep before working, which meant I was only getting a few hours of sleep a night. Friday and Saturday night we were both up with her the majority of the night moving around and trying different things to get her to sleep. We have been trying to keep her awake as much as possible during the day, but that isn't as easy as we thought it would be! Now that she is staying awake during the day a little more we thought she would be tired at night and sleep.........ha ha ha! Well, that wasn't the case and as soon as we would turn off lights and start the "bedtime" routine she would open those little eyes as wide as she could and start looking around. We would get her to sleep or almost asleep and as soon as we would put her down she would start moving around and wake up and cry. We drove her around Sunday night and she slept until we took her out of her carseat. So Monday night we decided to put her in the carseat and as funny as it sounds Matt walked her around the house (no, he didn't have to make car sounds or beep or anything!) and she fell asleep in minutes! We put her in our room by her beautiful bassinet and she slept from about 11:30 until 5:45 the next morning! I kept waking to check on her and she would startle a little and then keep on sleeping. Matt and I both enjoyed the sleep and we think Katlyn felt much better after a good nights sleep, too!
Isn't this funny! A beautiful bassinet (it was Meredith's, then mine) and she wants to sleep in a carseat?!?!
A Happy Baby Katlyn after a good night of SLEEP!!!

A Visit from Lily & Miles!!
My good friend Lauren and her two precious kiddos came by yesterday for a visit! Lauren had already met Katlyn and we couldn't wait for Lily and Miles to come, too. Lily enjoyed helping Katlyn keep her paci in for the pictures and trying out some of Katlyn's toys. I am sure she will do a great job teaching Katlyn how to play with the babies one day. I know that Lily, Miles, and Katlyn have many playdates and lots of fun ahead of them! We are so blessed to have wonderful friends in our lives!

Katlyn's 1st Bathtub Experience!
Yesterday Matt and I decided to try out Katlyn in her little bathtub. She isn't a big fan of bath time as you can see! Matt got the water the perfect temp for her and I did the bathing. I think she screamed the entire time. We have video, but I don't think anyone would want to hear our sweet baby crying...we can't hardly take it ourselves! She does like to have her hair washed more these days and likes to have her hair brushed, which I am so excited about. I love doing little girls' hair and can't wait til she has enough for bows and barrettes. My little ones at school let me practice before Katlyn arrived! Katlyn does enjoy getting all bundled up after baths and likes getting her lotion, too. Enjoy the photos!!

Saturday Morning Visit with Granddad
Granddad came by to visit with Katlyn and us this morning. Katlyn enjoyed the visit and got to sit in Granddad's lap. She was wide eyed the entire visit! Pretty soon she will be able to converse more with Granddad. She is learning to recognize people and objects (such as her rattle) more and more everyday.
