Katlyn's 2nd Birthday!

So, I'm a little behind on my blogging, as usual, but we sure have been having a good time these last few months....especially considering it is summer! Althought the sun and heat have been a bit too much for myself and Katlyn Bug, we have totally enjoyed the three of us being able to spend days and nights together! What better place to be than together?!!!!!
March 24th, 2011 was Katlyn's 2nd Birthday! Our little girl is growing up way to fast for us! Matt and I take her birthday off and plan to forever...I guess until she is old enough to tell us she'd rather be at school....ugh, the thought! She woke up with a smile and the sweetest sleepy eyes you could imagine in her sweet little piggy pajamas. We took her for her 2 year photos and to lunch and Toys R Us. She doesn't really care what she gets yet, but Matt and I had been talking about getting her a doll house and it ended up being the perfect gift! She has spent many hours playing with it and having us play with her, too! She got to ride the fire engine with Bert and Ernie at Toys R Us, too and really enjoyed that! She is becoming more fun every single day! What a little 2 year old blessing she is! Pop, Lu-Lu, Grandaddy, & Aunt Missy joined us for dinner at Katlyn's favorite restaurant Steak n' Shake. She loves the little slider burgers there (with ketchup only) and applesauce. Everyone joined us for a red velvet cake I made for Katlyn to enjoy on her actual birthday. She enjoyed it and made us all smile! Happy Birthday, Sweet Katlyn! We love you!

I Hear the Ice Cream Man!

Katlyn can hear the ice cream truck from a mile away! We decided it was warm enough to enjoy a treat when he came by the other day. Of course, Katlyn chose Dora. I can't believe these ice creams are $2.75 and more! Rediculous! She enjoyed it, though, and we got some cute pics for memories!

First bites are always the best!

Thanks, Daddy!

Walking Like Grandad!

The other night Grandad and Aunt Missy came to visit. As they were leaving, Katlyn decided to walk just like her Grandad! We had to take pictures, of course!

Our Little Angel!

These photos are from Robby and Vicki's wedding back in October. I couldn't pass up posting them because I just love them! Katlyn is truly our little angel!

Beautiful girl!

Our Sweet Girl!

I had to post a few pictures that just make me smile!

This is Katlyn all dressed up! She likes to pick out a hat sometimes and a special pair of shoes. This day she still had on her pj's and decided on her heels and beach hat! Funny girl...I guess she's going to be a free spirit!

Katlyn and her favorite dolls. She's our little "doll"!

Our sweet Katlyn bug! She was so sleepy and didn't want to give in! We love her so!

Bubbles!

Spring has come and that means it's time for BUBBLES! Katlyn LOVES to play bubbles and try to blow bubbles on her own. She also likes to "pour" bubbles from one container to another, which is a great fine motor skill (sometimes the pre-k teacher in me just has to come out), but such a mess! She would spend all day outside with bubbles if she could!

Running to the bubbbles!

Blowing bubbles all by myself!

So much to choose from! Where should we start!

Snow/Ice Week!

Matt and I ended up getting a whole week off after a snow that turned into more of an ice issue! We were super happy about the extra time we got to spend time with our girl! We spent some time outside with our homemade sled made out of a plastic container and a metal pan that goes under the cars. We slid down the drive way and a little in the street. Maybe next year we will come up with something a little fancier...but, afterall, we do live in Senoia!

Who's enjoying this more??? Daddy or Katlyn??

Mommy and Katlyn slipping and sliding! It was easier getting down than up, that's for sure!
